How Much Does Venetian Plaster Cost in Toronto? (2026 Guide)

Prices for Venetian plaster in Toronto are all over the map because two different questions get mixed together: what the material costs, and what an installed wall costs. Here are both, with real 2026 numbers.

Materials: $3 to $5 per square foot

A genuine Venetian plaster wall is a three-product system: primer, plaster, protective wax or sealer. At our store pricing, a typical feature wall works out to roughly $3 to $5 per square foot in material, depending on the plaster you choose and the sheen you are after. A 100 square foot feature wall is usually $300 to $500 in materials, everything included.

Do not price the plaster alone and forget the system. Skipping the matched primer is the number one cause of failed DIY walls we hear about at the counter.

Installed: $12 to $25+ per square foot

Hiring a professional applicator in the GTA typically runs $12 to $25 per square foot depending on the finish complexity, wall condition and how much burnishing the look demands. High-gloss marmorino with multiple tinted coats sits at the top of that range. That means the same 100 square foot wall lands between $1,200 and $2,500 installed. If you want it done, our sister company Elite Walls installs across Toronto and the GTA.

DIY the smart way

If you are handy, limewash first, Venetian second: the skill gap is real. Watch the application videos on the product pages, buy a small bucket, and do a practice board. Material for a practice board costs less than one square foot of professional installation.
