Description

Lime and clay limewash with the soft cloudy movement people buy limewash for.

Where it works

Interior walls. Breathable, anti-mould and air-purifying - a genuinely healthy finish for bedrooms and living spaces. Undiluted it also builds into Roman Clay and Marrakesh-style looks.

How it goes on

Limewash: brush or spalter, criss-cross strokes, two coats, thinned 10-15% with water. The second coat is what creates the light-and-dark movement.
Roman Clay: soft trowel, thin overlapping layers, no dilution - let some areas show texture.

Primer

Genyus.

Coverage

27-36 sq ft per litre over two coats.

Assumes the 10-15% water a limewash needs. Applied full strength for Roman Clay it goes noticeably less far - budget for the thicker build.

Sealing

Recommended for easier cleaning. Velatura keeps it breathable.

Complete the system

Calce & Clay: Limewash Paint is a system, not a single tin. These are the products every job pairs with it, in the order they go on the wall.

Plan the job

How much will you need?

Pick your wall and its size - the calculator lists the whole system, this finish plus its primer and sealer, in the right amounts.

An estimate, not a quote. Real coverage moves with substrate, absorbency, technique and how many coats a colour actually needs. Tinted material is mixed to order and cannot be returned, so order the whole wall in one go, a top-up batch may not match. If it is a big job or an unusual substrate, call before you buy.
